Easter Gains for Silver
On the back of recent record high gold prices, silver has stepped up a gear and made a rise close to 10% over just four days of trading spanning Easter from a fix of £19.46/oz on March 28th to £21.33/oz today, April 4th, or £625.65/kg to £685.78/kg.
This is the highest midday silver fix since the “Reddit Push” of February 1st, 2021 when prices surged to a £21.58/oz fix before quickly dropping back. If the current price remains sustained, then it may surpass the “Covid highs” of August 2020 when the price peaked at £21.70/oz. There is still some way to go for the record highs of 2011/2012, when the price reached £29.25/oz in April 2011.
