Fourteen Year Silver High

The midday silver fix on Friday June 6th reached £26.70/oz (£858.42/kg). This is the highest silver fix for fourteen years, narrowly beating fixes from late March 2025 (26.60/oz) and October 2024 (£26.59/oz). More importantly, the price has broken through the $35/oz and $36/oz technical barriers for the first time since 2011.

The all-time high silver fix remains at £29.26/oz (£940.73/kg) or $48.70/oz recorded on 28th April 2011. Friday April 29th, 2011 was a bank holiday in the UK (William & Kate's Royal Wedding) and there was no London fix, however the US markets were still operating and the silver spot price nudged $50/oz before falling back dramatically.
